Who We Are

We commit our own capital to a small number of opportunities and stay with them for as long as they require.

General Holdings Limited is a boutique project sponsor and investment holding company based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). We identify, structure, and advance opportunities across sectors and geographies, operating at the intersection of investment, industry, and trade.

We are an owner and project sponsor. Every project we advance is one in which General Holdings participates directly as an owner, sponsor or commercial partner, with its own balance-sheet capital. We do not manage money on behalf of outside investors, provide investment advisory services, or operate as an intermediary between other parties' capital and their objectives. This is a deliberate choice.
General Holdings combines three strengths that are rarely found under one roof: its own balance-sheet capital, hands-on operating expertise, and institutional relationships built over decades. We apply these capabilities to situations that fall between the focus of traditional investors and the core business of large operators.

Our work spans the full lifecycle of a project: identifying an opportunity, structuring the transaction and its stakeholders, committing our own capital, and staying engaged operationally to see a project through to a stable, productive state.

We prioritise depth over breadth. Rather than spreading capital thinly, we concentrate on two areas where our structuring expertise and relationships give us a genuine advantage: the restart and recapitalisation of energy infrastructure in emerging markets, and strategic minerals and commodity trade flows.
Structuring as a Craft
Many of the opportunities we pursue involve legacy energy assets that need restarting or recapitalising. We treat the structuring of a transaction as a discipline in its own right, as important to a project’s ultimate success as the capital behind it.
